Yes, We have free drop-off parking available within walking distance of the restaurant from Monday to Friday after 6pm and on weekends at all times. Parking available at Garage 4209 Rue de Bullion H2W 2E8 and La Buanderie Progrès Hygièniques 4099 Colonial Avenue H2W 2C2 (across the street).
Great service, food is delicious and affordable. Comfy setting.
Absolutely delicious dishes. Well presented and a pleasure to the palate. Our cod dishes looked and tasted amazing. We decided to also try the octopus appetizer. This was well made not tough and very tasty and fresh. Overall a great experience and highly recommended. Well worth the visit
They're very good with fish and seafood--everything is fresh and al dente and beautifully presented. Service is kind and attentive. I'm less of a fan of their meat dishes, so I mostly order fish and seafood. The rooms are a bit cold at times, though. On weekdays, if you're lucky, you can see Quebec sculptor Armand Vaillancourt lunching there alone--a Plateau institution!
The food here is incredible. You can't go wrong with Portuguese ;) i HIGHLY recommend this place. Great service too :)
Amazing food and amazing service good prices for the amount of food you get and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to eat the best Portuguese food in town
Came here on a Sunday eve. One couple was seated inside at 7PM. No one greeted us. Outside the front entrance workers were smoking and chatting. I did not bother to sample the cuisine.
This is a great authentic Portuguese restaurant located near St. Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. I recommend trying the Caldo Verde and the Chourico a Bombeiro to start. The salted cod dishes like the Bolinhos de Bacalhau and Bacalhau a Braz are my favorite. The grilled sardines are also a great choice. Its best to finish with a great dessert like Pastries de Nata or Pera Bebida accompanied by an espresso. The service was friendly and the restaurant has a family feel. I definitely recommend this place.
Delicious fish, steak, tiramisu and creme brulee. I only wish there was more than a single slice of chorizo in the soup (delicious as well). The sangria was nice as well. Beautiful environment and great service! Will definitely return. The table d'hote is really worth it!
Quality and tasty Portuguese food. Pricey but very healthy portions. Reception room if your thinking of hosting a special day or small office celebration. Ask them where to find parking and save you the parking $.
Now that I ate there, I'm not that surprised the restaurant was empty on a Friday night. The food was OK to mediocre: I asked for a rare bitoque (steak with egg), but it was medium-well. Poorly seasonned too. The salad was fairly good, but the fries were sub-par. I have to give it to them though, the kalamatas they serve with the bread were very good.
A very nice place to bring the family. The service was good and homey. The food was only ok. The octopus was over cook and chewy and the lamb was good but the side were not good.
Nice restaurant. Great service. Reasonable prices. They specialize in seafood. The Portuguese chicken was tasty however it was full of hard bits and cartiledge.
Hands down, the best bang for your buck around. With so many restaurants dropping their quality these days, including many of the classics on the Plateau, here's one which undeniably takes pride in what it does. You can hardly believe you're eating so well, for the price you're paying, especially when it comes to the lunch specials which are all under $20, including entree and dessert. Then again, you know the food is going to be good as soon as you see the regulars - a bunch of older Portuguese gentlemen from the neighborhood. The decor is pleasant, albeit modest. The waiter is knowledgeable, kind, and ever so pleasant. Only thing is, you gotta like fish, as that's what constitutes most of the lunch specials. So, if you wanna eat like a king for under $25 tax & tip included (before wine), this is the spot.
Friendly servers nice atmosphere, but got 3 fish spines in my cod, porc with potatoes was on point tho but the spines makes it a 3 for me but if you aren't getting cod anyways then it's easily 4.5star
Nice place, friendly staff. -securmax
Food a bit too salty, small portion for the calamari, won't go again. The service was great thought and private import wine was nice as well
Great tasting Portuguese food and kind staff
Excellent service, food and environment. Delicious olives!!
Everything was amazing! The service, the food, and the best pastel de nata that I ever had!! I loved this place!!
Amazing family owned restaurant. I really appreciated the "deco" and look of the venue. The food was delicious, fresh and authentic. Must have the grill calamari as an entrée! I asked Steven for his recommendation, and he presented me with a beautiful mixed seafood bowl: the cataplana. Couldn't have been more satisfied. The service was impeccable and Steven is a class act. Will return for another lovely evening and meal.
Portugues restaurant. Very friendly and good food.
Great staff. Very friendly. Great Portuguese food. Loved our bacalhau a braz a fish platter for two! Calamari were also amazing!
This is the best Portuguese restaurant experience i've had in Montreal in a long time. The food is top notch especially for fish and seafood lovers just go for the fisherman platter hands down. And their wine card and Portuguese private importation wines are to die for! And lastly the service is awesome and personalize.
Good but expensive.
We have not had a meal that well prepared in years. The calamari and octopus were incredibly tender, the rack if lamb melted in your mouth. Would absolutely go back.
Very good food nice atmosphere I was attending a baptism
Great service and food.
Excellent food the octopus and seafood platter highly recommend
Food was ok, the cod filets served were full of big bones and the filet mignon was marbled, which of course means it is not that cut.
Ate here on my honeymoon and had a special and memorable meal.
Awesome Portuguese food and the service makes you feel like your own family is serving you!
Amazing food,ambiance and service
Bright, quiet place to enjoy dinner. Excellent food!
Food and ambiance was excellent.
Excellent food! Fado night was amazing
My wife and I wanted to have an authentic Portuguese cataplana dish as we've enjoyed it so much when we were in Porto, Portugal. This resto didn't disappoint and offered a very similar experience! Love the dish and would definitely visit again to try the Fisherman's platter. Till next time!
One of the best Portuguese restos in town. Their piri piri chicken is outstanding...
So friendly and really great food. Olives are delicious!
The flavor is good but the vegetables are over done or they are prepared ahead of time.
I was very pleased with our first visit here. We were with guests from China and I wanted to give them a taste of Portuguese cuisine. Food was very good throughout and the decor is really reflective of a typical Portuguese home. Excellent wine selection of private imports at the most reasonable prices I have seen. We will certainly return.
Very nice place, food and prices
Great service and delicious traditional Portuguese food
Ok but still disappointing for a portuguese restaurant. Can do better in Montreal.
Too salty, expensive for what it is, service was slow
